The ASEAN-Korea Centre (Secretary-General Kim Jae-shin) will hold the 'ASEAN Pop-up Store - ASEAN Flavor Town' at the food avenue of the Lotte Department Store's main branch from June 14 to 20. This special event aims to showcase various domestically available ASEAN food and beverage products, such as fruits, sauces, snacks, and beverages, for sale and to serve as a pre-promotion for the '2024 ASEAN Trade Fair' scheduled to be held at the Platz Exhibition Hall, COEX from August 8 to 11.
This is the first time that Lotte Department Store, in collaboration with the ASEAN-Korea Centre, is organizing a pop-up store exclusively showcasing ASEAN food and beverages. In addition to the ASEAN food and beverages that Korean consumers are already familiar with, this event will also draw the attention of consumers through newly introduced products. At this pop-up event, ASEAN food and beverage products can be purchased at discounted prices and various souvenirs will be provided based on the purchase amount.
Furthermore, the ASEAN-Korea Centre will hold its annual flagship program, the '2024 ASEAN Trade Fair' from August 8 to 11 at the Platz Exhibition Hall, COEX, to commemorate the ASEAN Day (August 8), which celebrates ASEAN's foundation. The event will invite promising food and beverage companies from ASEAN, exhibiting their products and getting to know more of specific demands through conducting business meetings with Korean buyers.
Secretary-General Kim Jae-shin of the ASEAN-Korea Centre stated, "The ASEAN-Korea Centre has been hosting ASEAN Trade Fair since 2009 to support competent ASEAN small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in entering the Korean market, thereby promoting active trade activities between ASEAN and Korea. This pop-up store aims to expand the focus of the event from B2B focus to the general public, introducing a variety of ASEAN products to Korean consumers. This will provide a good opportunity for more active ASEAN-Korea trade in the food and beverage sector."
