GKN Aerospace Confirms Attendance at June 9 Special City Council Meeting

GKN Aerospace has responded to the City of Garden Grove's formal request and confirmed that Steve Carlin, senior vice president of GKN Aerospace, will attend the special City Council meeting on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 5 p.m. to address the community regarding the hazardous chemical incident at the company's Western Avenue facility.

The confirmation follows a letter sent by the City demanding that GKN communicate directly with community members and provide answers about what occurred. During the special meeting, the City Council will also receive updates from the County of Orange and partner agencies regarding response and recovery efforts related to the incident.
