NIFA Awards $7.7M to Support Food and Human Health

USDA's National Institute of Food and Agriculture has awarded $7.7 million in funding to support 14 projects funded by the Agriculture and Food Research Initiative program area priority Food and Human Health (A1343). This portfolio aims to improve human health by investigating the interrelationships of foods and their impact on gut microbiota. Project outcomes inform precision nutrition or personalized dietary needs and complement the nation's dietary pattern recommendations to prevent, reduce, or control chronic diseases.
