The Democratic Alliance mourns the passing of King Makhosoke II, the King of the AmaNdebele nation and Chairperson of the SA Kings Forum

It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the passing of His Majesty King Makhosoke II of the AmaNdebele nation.

We send our sincere condolences to his family, and the Royal Kingdom of AmaNdebele.

The DA leadership over the next coming few days will be making arrangements to visit to pay our respects and condolences.

King Makhosoke II worked to raise the profile and esteem of education, and of the isiNdebele language. He facilitated and created platforms for university students to study and develop isiNdebele.

He will be remembered for his humanitarian work in support of the most vulnerable and school children.

Until his passing King Makhosoke II was the inaugural Chairperson of the SA Kings Forum, a co-ordinating body supported by the Department of Coorperative Governance and Traditional Affairs.
