JOSEPHINE COUNTY, OR - Due to an ongoing power outage in the area, the offices in the county courthouse located at 500 NW 6th Street will be closing today. There is no estimated time for the power to be restored. Office closures include Human Resources, Finance, Board of Commissioners, Clerk, Treasury, Veteran Services, Legal Counsel, and the Assessor.
Additionally, the Corrections Department, although not located in the courthouse, has been affected by the outage and will be closing for today.
All other county offices will remain open and functioning; however, it is recommended to call the department. During times like this, situations can change drastically. The county will send updates as the situation changes.
