AUGUSTA, Ga. | Georgia College & State University has earned the No. 5 seed in the 2026 Peach Belt Conference Women's Tennis Tournament that will be held in Columbus, Georgia, this weekend.
The Bobcats (11-10 overall, 3-4 Peach Belt) will face No. 4 seed Middle Georgia State University (9-7, 4-3) - in a 9 a.m. quarterfinal match Friday (April 24) at the John W. Walden Tennis Center. Middle Georgia State edged GCSU 4-3 last month in Milledgeville.
The winner of the GCSU-Middle Georgia State match will face winner of Friday's (April 24) 9 a.m. quarterfinal between the top seed Columbus State University (15-4, 7-0) and No. 8 seed Georgia Southwestern State University (1-11,, 0-7) in Saturday's (April 25) 10 a.m. semifinal match.
In the other half of the bracket, No. 3 seed University of North Georgia (15-6, 5-2) will face No. 6 Lander University (9-8, 2-5) while No. 2 seed Flagler College (14-8, 6-1) will face No. 7 Augusta University (7-10, 1-6) in noon quarterfinal matches Friday (April 24). The winners of those two matches will face off in the other 10 a.m. semifinal match Saturday (April 25).
The championship match of the single-elimination tournament will be at 10 a.m. Sunday (April 26). The winner of the PBC Tournament will earn the conference's automatic berth for the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Tournament.
