Wai’anae Valley Traffic Calming Study

NOTICE TO RESIDENTS

WAIʻANAE VALLEY TRAFFIC CALMING STUDY

JUNE 23, 2026

This notice is to advise residents about a continued traffic study evaluation in the highlighted area above along Kāneʻaki Street, between Waiʻanae Valley Road and Kapaekahi Street, through our consultant, Austin, Tsutsumi, & Associates (ATA).

This traffic study analysis in conjunction with the work done in April 2026 will help determine whether speed humps are an appropriate traffic calming measure at this location. Residents are advised to stay alert for ATA personnel and equipment in the area.

The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands will present the findings of the study to the community when the report is ready, and additional input and collaboration with the community and lessees will be welcome at that time.

For any questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to reach out to project manager, Bladimir Gonzalez, at 808-282-2988.
