About the Artist

Ahmed Ibrahim is a Sudanese visual artist and graphic designer based in Greensboro since July 2024. With over 25 years of experience, his work reinterprets Sudanese folklore and cultural traditions through contemporary visual storytelling. He holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in Graphic Design and a Higher Diploma in Folklore from universities in Sudan.

"Sudanese Soul" celebrates the strength, resilience, and enduring spirit of Sudanese women. Through abstract forms and vibrant colors, the piece reflects their vital role in preserving cultural identity, sustaining families, and shaping community life. It honors determination, endurance, and spiritual depth, honoring women as symbols of identity, hope, and continuity in times of both peace and war.
