Magaziner Statement on Supreme Court Ruling Against Trump Tariffs

WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Representative Seth Magaziner (RI-02) today issued the following statement after the Supreme Court ruled against Trump's use of tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act as part of case,Learning Resources, Inc. vs. Trump.

"Today's Supreme Court ruling is a win for working people, who have endured the costs of President Trump's misguided and illegal tariffs.

For months, Rhode Islanders have paid more at the checkout line because tariffs are taxes. President Trump must abide by the ruling and end his pursuit of tariffs that make life more expensive for working people."
