ESU Welcomes Families and Community to Campus

East Stroudsburg University invites community members to campus for its annual Family Weekend activities, Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12. The weekend is designed to bring campus and community together and introduce students' family members to the campus and surrounding Pocono Mountains region. Families can learn more about their students' lives at ESU, as well as participate in fun events held by ESU and the local community.

The weekend will host events on campus for all ages and interests. Legacy families are invited to a lunch reception with President Kenneth Long for the annual Pinning Ceremony and their induction into the ESU Legacy Program while first generation families are invited to a ceremony of their own where they will spend time getting to know the campus and surrounding communities.

ESU Family Weekend kicks off on Friday evening with a petting zoo on the front lawn of Warren E. '55 & Sandra Hoeffner Science & Technology Center, Schisler Museum tours, Family Feud and a Movie on the Quad. Saturday offers a First Responder and Military Showcase, Schisler Museum tours and McMunn Planetarium shows, the Warrior Bash featuring family friendly games and activities, and ESU's Family Amazing Race Experience which families competing around campus.

There will also be tours of the new University Center, open houses for the Center for Student Engagement and Belonging and the Gender and Sexuality Center, and athletic events including a men's soccer game and a football game. The weekend ends with Pocono Latin Fest in the Pit Parking Lot (Lot 23 on the campus map.)
