DENVER - Denver's Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) would like the public to be aware of work happening this weekend in Denver's Civic Center area, as it makes improvements to public infrastructure and avoids upcoming events including Cinco de Mayo.
Starting tomorrow morning, April 25, until Sunday night, April 26, crews will fully close 14th Street between Court Place and Colfax Avenue to demobilize a hoist supporting renovations at the Wellington E. Webb Building. Drivers can take Tremont Place to Colfax Avenue or take Court Pl. to Broadway.
Also in that general area, DOTI is replacing a section of stormwater infrastructure, requiring the closure of two eastbound lanes of Colfax Avenue between Cherokee and Lincoln streets, keeping one travel lane open. This work starts tonight at 7 p.m. and continues until Monday, April 27, at 5 a.m. See map below. Two lanes on southbound Broadway will also be closed to support this work. The far righthand lane will close for the entire weekend, while the far lefthand lane is expected to reopen midday on Saturday.
DOTI appreciates people's patience as it works to keep public infrastructure in a state of good repair.
