Governor Ayotte Kicks Off NH Gives Campaign

CONCORD, NH - Today, Governor Kelly Ayotte welcomed nonprofit leaders from across New Hampshire to kick off this year's NH Gives campaign, a statewide online fundraising event led by the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits in partnership with the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.

Kicking off the state's biggest day of giving for nonprofits, Governor Ayotte highlighted the critical role nonprofits play in supporting our communities and encouraged Granite Staters to donate to a nonprofit of their choosing.

"New Hampshire is fortunate to have an amazing network of nonprofits who help serve our communities and care for some of our most vulnerable citizens," said Governor Kelly Ayotte. "As we kick off the NH Gives Campaign, I urge Granite Staters to support the nonprofits who have helped make our state such an exceptional place to live."

The NH Gives campaign begins at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9 and continues through 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, with a record 701 nonprofits from across the Granite State participating this year.

"We continue to see incredible momentum behind NH Gives," said Kathleen Reardon, CEO of the NH Center for Nonprofits. "A record number of nonprofits are participating this year because NH Gives works. It helps organizations reach new supporters, strengthen existing donor relationships, and shine a spotlight on the essential role nonprofits play in every New Hampshire community."

To encourage giving throughout the 24-hour campaign, the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and its donors will provide $30,000 in "Power of Community" incentive prizes to organizations with the highest number of unique online donors. Additional cash and in-kind prizes from generous donors and businesses total more than $27,000.

"NH Gives is an opportunity for Granite Staters to give back and help nonprofits keep doing what they do for all of us."
