How to submit your entries in Award Force

1. Create / log in to your account

• Go to the awards program's Award Force portal.
• Create an account or log in (you can reuse the same account for multiple awards).

2. Start a new entry

• Click "Start Entry"
  • Note that it may take a moment for this page to load due to the volume of categories.
• Select the category you're entering
  • Selection of a category will show more information about the category, platform options, eligibility, sub-category descriptions and additional guidelines.
• Fill in the name of your entry, which will serve as the "headline" of this entry.
• Check the box if your entry has multiple assets, such as print entries that have multiple pages, digital entries with multiple URLs or a multiplatform entry.
• Hit "Save and Next" to continue to complete entry details.

3. Complete entry questions

• Complete entry fields such as Paywall information, Credits, Description or notes
  • Paywalls: Digital entries must include working paywall access details in the entry notes. Missing paywall information may result in disqualification.
• Optionally, you can check boxes for any additional caveats that include if:
  • This is a student entry or student publication
  • This entry is entered under a different title or sub-brand that is different from your registered publication/company.
  • You want to be eligible for World's Best Emerging Designer for portfolio submissions.
• Hit "Save and Next" to continue to provide attachments and links.

4. Attachments and Links

Attach files and provide links with the following instructions in mind, making sure that your file sizes meet limits, files are clearly named and that links are publicly accessible.

• Print:
  • Submit print entries as PDFs. Combine multi-page entries into a single PDF unless the subcategory says otherwise. PDFs must be 100MB or less. Categories requiring multiple editions or sections may upload multiple PDFs, each up to 100MB.
• Digital:
  • Submit a direct link to the specific webpage being judged. Do not link to a homepage unless required. Landing pages will be judged only on the submitted URL. Any required uploaded files must be 100MB or less.
• Social:
  • Submit a direct URL to the specific social media post. Do not link to a publication's full social media page unless noted.
• World's Best:
  • For category 11a, World's Best-Designed: Print Newspaper, upload one newspaper edition to each of the five PDF upload fields.
  • Upload your description introducing your publication to the World's Best Description field

5. Save and review

• When you are done filling out your entry, you can use the "Preview" button to review your submission.
• Hitting "Submit Entry" will take you to the checkout cart for paying entry fees, but you can add more entries before paying.
  

6. Pay entry fees

• Payment is required before final submission of all your entries.

• Paywalls: Digital entries must include working paywall access details in the entry notes. Missing paywall information may result in disqualification.
• Discount Codes:
  • Apply your SND member discount code (log in to snd.org for details).
  • Student or former student entries from student publications must use the student discount code. The code can also be found by logging in to snd.org
• Cart & Submission Rules:
  • The cart resets after 24 hours of inactivity; entries will need to be re-added.
  • Entries cannot be submitted in bulk due to validation requirements.
  • If you're not ready to pay, wait to add entries to the cart. For large submissions, consider multiple smaller transactions.
• Special Discount Notes:
  • World's Best (Category 11): Use a separate transaction for discount codes-multiple codes cannot be applied to one order.
  • Emerging Economies, Trust, or Student memberships: The one free entry must be submitted in a separate transaction for the same reason.
    

7. Submit before the deadline

• After entering your payment method and information, proceed to payment to submit your entry.
