Linn County Conservation is announcing that modern campgrounds and dump stations will close for the season on Sunday, October 26 at 1 p.m. The last night to camp will be October 25. This seasonal closure affects the campgrounds at Buffalo Creek Park, Morgan Creek Park, Pinicon Ridge Park, and Wanatee Park.
If temperatures are forecast to fall below freezing on a given night prior to the closure date, water may be shut off and will not be operational until next camping season. This would also affect showerhouse and dump station usage.
For those camping at Morgan Creek Park, only self-contained units (those with toilets within the camper) are allowed until the end of this season. The showerhouse/restroom building at Morgan Creek Park Campground is undergoing scheduled renovations and is closed to the public.
Year-round camping is available at Matsell Bridge Natural Area primitive campgrounds, Wakpicada Natural Area, and the Wickiup Hill Learning Center Pack-In Campsite. These camping areas do not have electricity or water. The Matsell Bridge Equestrian Campground closes November 15, weather permitting.
