SCAM ALERT: Beware of fake emails trying to invoice residents

The City of Cedar Rapids Development Services Department and Police Department are aware of fraudulent invoicing scams sent to residents attempting to charge for "compensation fees."Our Development Services team does NOT make these requests. Also, if the sender has an email address other than [Name]@cedar-rapids.org, it did not come from the City of Cedar Rapids. For example, one sender for this scam used Developmentservices_Cedar-Rapids@usa dot com. USA dot com is clearly not a City email. If you should have any questions about an invoice, please contact a member of the Development Services team at 319-286-5780 or [email protected] to report the scam and request assistance.Find a complete list of Department contacts on our website here.
