Coffs Harbour to get expanded Government Workplace Hub

The new workplace hub will be built on a 1,536-square metre block at 63-65 Albany Street complementing the existing Government-owned site at 11 Gordon Street.

Property and Development NSW are consolidating 26 existing leases into the Coffs Harbour Workplace Hub, to be delivered within a budget of $62 million, which will accommodate more than 600 staff from 6 government departments.

Construction of a multi-level car parking facility for the Gordon Street site is under consideration by Property and Development NSW, with the potential to accommodate a mix of government fleet and public parking available for use by the Coffs Harbour community.

The Albany Street site will deliver 3,200 square metres of modern office space across three levels, with construction expected to start in late 2026, subject to development approvals.

Minister for Lands and Property Steve Kamper said:

"This is fantastic news for government employees who call the North Coast home.

"Strong regional hubs help attract and retain talented local workers, supporting thriving regional economies.

"Bringing agencies together under one roof will create modern, efficient workplaces that deliver lasting community benefits."

Minister for the North Coast, Janelle Saffin said:

"Securing this additional site in the heart of Coffs Harbour is a major step forward in strengthening local jobs and services for the community.

"This expansion will allow hundreds of regional staff to work closer to home, supporting families, boosting the local economy, and cementing Coffs Harbour as a growing regional centre".
