ICYMI: Ernst Gets Bureaucrats Back to Work

WASHINGTON - After U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) exposed last year that just 6% of telework eligible federal employees were showing up in-person five days a week, a recent Gallup report made clear that bureaucrats are back in the office and the days of working from home in bubble baths are over.

The report marks a clear victory for Ernst, who was the first to expose the extent of telework abuse in Washington and led the charge to get federal employees back to work and serving the American people.

Ernst joined Fox News to discuss her success in getting federal employees back in the office, how it provides much-needed occupancy data to consolidate chronically underutilized office space in Washington, and how she will auction off unneeded federal buildings with her FOR SALE Act to generate hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue and save billions of dollars in deferred maintenance.

"Ernst released a report last year showing only 6 percent of federal employees worked in the office full-time, even though the U.S. government spent billions of taxpayer dollars maintaining office buildings. She has led the charge to sell unused government buildings and compel employees to return to the office with the goal of spurring productivity."
