Port Clinton City Schools Host Orientation and Open Houses for 2026-27 Start of School

With the start of the 2026-27 school year just around the corner, the Port Clinton City School District has numerous orientations, schedule pick up days, and open houses scheduled for students and their parents. These sessions provide an opportunity for students and their parents to become familiar with their school setting and meet with the faculty and staff of each building. The first day of school for Port Clinton City Schools is Monday, Aug 24.

Port Clinton High School will host Freshmen Orientation or "Frosh Fest" on Fri, Aug 14 beginning at 9:00 a.m. for schedule pick up in the PCHS Performing Arts Center Lobby. Students and parents learn important information about high school and students have the opportunity to walk through their schedules. Port Clinton High School Open House will be on Aug 20 at 3:00 p.m.

Port Clinton Middle School welcomes and encourages students and parents to walk through the building and find their classrooms, locker during schedule pick up times. Schedule and important paperwork pick up days are Aug 17-19 from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Students are welcome to return as often as they like during these times to practice their locker combinations and become familiar with the school building. The New Student Summit, for parents of sixth graders and new students will be held on August 17 at 6:30 p.m. at PCMS. PCMS New Student Scavenger Hunt is Aug 18 at 1:00 p.m. A fun and exciting way to get familiar with their new school building!

Bataan Kindergarten Orientation is Thu, Aug 27 and families will receive a letter with all the details regarding orientation and kindergarten staggered start. Bataan Memorial Open House for both Primary (grades 1-2 only) and Intermediate will be held on Aug 20 beginning at 3:00 p.m. Bataan class lists will be posted on Mon, Aug 17 with the exception of kindergarten which will be posted at orientation.

Champions for Children, the Port Clinton City School District Before and After School Program, provides a safe setting for children of working parents.
