Ben Lomond High School Bomb Threat UPDATE

On October 2, 2025, at 8:39 a.m., the Ogden City Police Department received a report of a bomb threat at Ben Lomond High School, located at 1080 E. 9th Street in Ogden.

As of October 7, 2025, the Ogden City Police Department has identified a male juvenile suspect in connection with the incident. The suspect was located in Washington State and detained.

This remains an active investigation, with the Ogden Police Investigations Bureau working closely with federal, state, and local partners to ensure all appropriate charges are pursued.

"The safety of our students and schools will always remain a top priority," said Chief Jake Sube. "The swift and coordinated response to this threat highlights the professionalism and readiness of our School Resource Officers, investigative teams, and tactical units. The successful identification and apprehension of the suspect affirms our unwavering commitment to protecting our schools and community."

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of responding agencies, all persons of interest have been safely detained. There is no ongoing threat to the public or to school safety. Due to the suspect's age, no further identifying information will be released.
