The University of Wyoming has been awarded a chapter of Eta Sigma Delta, the international honor society for hospitality and tourism management.
Eta Sigma Delta recognizes students for outstanding academic achievement, professionalism, leadership and service within hospitality and tourism education. Students inducted into the organization rank among the top academic performers in their programs and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in the industry.
Founded in 1978 at the University of New Hampshire, Eta Sigma Delta was established to honor exceptional students in hospitality and tourism management. Today, the organization includes more than 90 active chapters worldwide.
"Receiving an Eta Sigma Delta chapter is an exciting opportunity for our students and programs," says Sara Ghezzi, a UW assistant professor of practice and chapter adviser. "This honor society connects students to a global network of hospitality and tourism leaders and opportunities."
