The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), represented by Ms. Rattaya Kotcharag, Assistant Director of the Complaint Center, participated in a panel discussion on the topic "Lessons Learned from Threats and Responses to Online Fraud (Cyber Threats)." The panel also featured (1) Pol. Lt. Col. Prawit Wongkasem, Deputy Superintendent, Sub-division 1, Cyber Crime Investigation Division 2, Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB), (2) Mr. Thirapun Sanpakit, Senior Executive Vice President, Head of Information Technology Division, the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), and (3) Ms. Chananya Jaisin, Chief Marketing Officer, Advice IT Infinite Public Company Limited.
The discussion aimed to encourage listed companies to register and verify their identities through Cyber Check application, which screens social media platforms such as LINE, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, as well as URLs and bank account numbers. This enables the public to verify information before making investment decisions. The event was held on 23 December 2025 at the SET Building.
On this occasion, Ms. Rattaya highlighted the SEC's role in protecting the public and investors from fraudulent investment solicitations, as well as enhancing preventive mechanisms through the development of a social media registry (whitelist). The registry compiles official social media accounts of business operators and agencies in the capital market to help prevent impersonation and fraudulent investment solicitation.
