SCOHIA PHARMA, Inc. (Fujisawa, Kanagawa, Japan; "SCOHIA") today announced that it presented research findings on SCO-006, an inositol hexakisphosphate kinase (IP6K) inhibitor being developed for the treatment of hyperphosphatemia, and provided an update on its development progress at "Inositol Phosphate and Pyrophosphate Signalling 2026," held in York, UK, from October 13 to 15, 2026.
The presentation clarified that the compound previously reported in scientific publications as SC-919 is SCO-006 and outlined the goal of initiating a first-in-human (FIH) clinical trial in 2027. SCOHIA remains committed to advancing the research and development of SCO-006 toward this goal.
