DALLAS - Dallas ISD is set to host the grand reopening of the Rosemont School, a project made possible through the 2020 Bond. The celebration will begin at 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 20. The community and media are invited to celebrate the school's long-lasting legacy and experience the new, modern updates. An A-rated campus, Rosemont now begins its next chapter in a building that honors its over 100 year history while supporting future success.
A century of tradition at Sunset High School
Celebrating 100 years, Sunset High School will host a centennial event on Saturday, Sept. 20. The day will kick off with a parade at 8:45 a.m., followed by a ribbon cutting for the school's new facilities. Guests can also enjoy campus tours and a showcase honoring the school's rich history and legacy. The event will unite alumni, students, staff, and the community for this milestone celebration.
VISUALS: The Wiz visits Dallas ISD
Yesterday, South Oak Cliff High School theatre students were visited by the cast and crew of Dallas Broadway's "The Wiz." Students had the rare opportunity to learn from industry experts, ask questions, showcase their own creative projects, and see firsthand the possibilities that come with pursuing their talents.

Families invited to attend Fam Jam
Dallas ISD families are invited to join the fun during the first Fam Jam of the school year from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Sept. 20, at Emmett J. Conrad High School. This free event will feature health screenings, immunizations, academic activities, and resources to support students and families. With prizes, activities, and community connections, Fam Jam is all about bringing families, schools, and communities together.

Help shape the school calendar
Dallas ISD is seeking insight for the 2027-2028 proposed school calendar. As part of the review process, the district is requesting feedback from staff, parents, and community members. Comments can be submitted by Monday, Sept. 22.
