Columbia Police respond to shots fired at Nelwood Drive

(COLUMBIA, MO)-

At about 11:37 p.m. on Jan. 16, Columbia Police responded to a shots-fired call at the 2400 block of Nelwood Drive. Upon arrival, officers located one male victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot injury, and officers provided medical care on scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital.

At this time, there is limited information, and CPD does not have anyone in custody. Officers are looking for a dark-colored sedan. We are asking that the public avoid the area. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Columbia Police Department.
