SAN DIEGO - Caltrans will perform preventive maintenance on the Interstate 15 (I-15) Express Lanes Moveable Barrier from Tuesday, May 19, through Monday, June 1. During this period, the barrier will maintain a two-lane configuration in each direction. However, lane shifts will be conducted in the southern section near State Route 163 (SR-163) to facilitate tension analysis.

Motorists may experience increased congestion during morning commutes on the southbound I-15 Express Lanes from Escondido to SR-163. Evening commutes will remain in their regular two-lane configuration.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
