Crapo Announces Finance Committee Staff Updates

Washington, D.C.-U.S. Senate Finance Committee Chairman Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) today announced the following staff updates:

Sam Llewellyn, Professional Staff Member

Sam joins the Committee from the office of Senator Tim Scott (R-South Carolina), where he worked on issues facing the Finance and Judiciary Committees as deputy legislative assistant. He previously worked as a legislative correspondent for Congressman Jake LaTurner (R-Kansas). He holds a B.A. in Intelligence and Security Studies from The Citadel.

Sarah Meier, Tax Counsel

Sarah joins the Committee from the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce, where she served as counsel and parliamentarian under Chairman Brett Guthrie (R-Kentucky). She previously worked as counsel to the Clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives and as tax policy staff for Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-Wyoming), Congressman Adrian Smith (R-Nebraska) and Senator Mike Enzi (R-Wyoming). She earned her J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law, subsequently practicing business, tax and government law as an attorney in Lincoln, and a B.A. from the University of Wyoming.

Mike Weiss, Senior Health Policy Advisor

Mike joins the Committee from the office of Senator Todd Young (R-Indiana), where he served as health policy director with an emphasis on issues under the Committee's jurisdiction. He previously worked as a policy analyst for the Senate Republican Policy Committee under then-Chairwoman Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) and as a legislative staffer for Senators Pat Toomey (R-Pennsylvania) and Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin). He received a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
