As part of Egypt's nationwide celebrations marking the 52nd anniversary of the glorious October War, the Nuclear Power Plants Authority (NPPA) held a ceremony in Nawah El Mostakbal City at El Dabaa. The event was attended by senior officials from the Authority, representatives of partner companies, and a number of public figures. During the ceremony, several national companies contributing to the implementation of El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant were honored - among them, the Arab Contractors Company. The celebration was inaugurated by Dr. Eng. Sherif Helmy - CEO of the NPPA, who delivered a speech recalling the heroism of the Egyptian Armed Forces and the Egyptian people during October War. He emphasized that El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant represents a "New National Epic" inspired by the directives and close follow-up of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, in line with Egypt's Vision 2030 for sustainable development and clean energy. Dr. Helmy praised the efforts and expertise of Egyptian professionals working on the project alongside international partners, and expressed appreciation to all national companies involved in its construction, including the Arab Contractors Company. The event featured a short film titled "People's Story", highlighting the bravery of the Egyptian people during October War, followed by an inspiring talk with one of the 1973 war heroes, who narrated some of the heroic situations and stories that embodied the spirit of sacrifice and giving among the heroes of the Armed Forces. At the conclusion of the events, Dr. Eng. Sherif Helmy honored a number of national companies participating in the project implementation, including the Arab Contractors Company. Eng. Magdy Alyan - Deputy Manager of Alexandria Branch and Supervisor of Turbine Works, and Mr. Ahmed Lamloum - Human Resources Manager at El Dabaa Projects Department. The ceremony concluded with an artistic performance by a children's choir, who sang patriotic songs commemorating the glorious October victories, amid great interaction from the audience. The Dabaa nuclear power plant is a Gen-III+ nuclear power plant, comprising 4 nuclear reactors with a capacity of 1,200 megawatts each, for a total of 4,800 megawatts, contributing to meeting Egypt's needs for clean and sustainable electricity. The Arab Contractors Company is participating in the implementation of several construction projects within El Dabaa Plant, including turbine buildings for units 2 and 4, the seawater intake works, coastal protection, internal roads, and service and logistics buildings for international partners operating on-site.
