1. Amazon Accelerates Expansion in Brazil.
On August 27, Amazon announced that it will establish over 800 logistics delivery points in Brazil by the end of 2025 to further expand its logistics network. This initiative is part of the 2025 Brazil acceleration program "Delivery by Amazon (DBA)", which was developed by Amazon Brazil's local team. Aimed at improving delivery speed and optimizing partners' operational processes, the program allows partner sellers to deliver packages to certified locations, with the subsequent delivery completed by Amazon's transportation system.
2. TikTok Shop Fully Upgrades "Next-Day Delivery" in Southeast Asia.
Recently, TikTok Shop has fully upgraded its "Next-Day Delivery" service across six Southeast Asian countries, covering sellers on all sites including Thailand and Malaysia. The new rule requires that the shipping status of same-day orders must be updated by 23:59, and consumers who place orders before the cutoff time can receive their purchases the next day. This upgrade marks a new phase in the platform's logistics timeliness competition. Currently, over 170,000 merchants have participated, and the volume of next-day delivery orders has increased by dozens of times compared to last year.
3. Shopee Launches Incentives for New Sellers.
On August 27, it was announced that Shopee has rolled out an incentive program for new sellers in Latin America. Sellers who successfully settle in the Third-Party Fulfillment (3PF) of Mexico or Colombia sites between September 2025 and April 2026 can enjoy a 10% commission reduction for 3 months. The 3PF model requires sellers to stock goods in local warehouses in advance, resulting in shorter logistics timelines. The buyer page displays "local shipping", which helps improve conversion rates and store traffic.
New sellers must complete onboarding by the 20th of the month to have the commission reduction take effect the following month; those who onboard on or after the 20th will have the reduction take effect the month after next. Sellers who already have stores on Shopee but have not activated 3PF on these two sites are also eligible to participate-they can enjoy the same benefits by submitting materials and completing onboarding. This policy aims to encourage more Chinese sellers to explore the Latin American e-commerce market.
4. eBay Expands Cross-Border Logistics Program.
On August 27, eBay announced that it will launch its International Shipping Program (EIS) in Canada starting from October 2025. Eligible Canadian sellers will be able to easily ship to the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Australia, and other regions, with eBay taking full responsibility for international transportation, customs clearance, and returns. Sellers only need to deliver their products to the designated logistics center in Mississauga, Canada, and eBay will handle all subsequent processes.
This initiative will significantly reduce the difficulty of cross-border operations for merchants and optimize the structure of their income statements. It also comes at a critical time as the "de minimis" duty-free threshold is about to be eliminated, making it particularly timely for Canada-US cross-border e-commerce businesses.
5. TEMU Ranks First on Brazil's E-Commerce Platform List for the First Time.
According to the latest data from Conversion, Temu topped Brazil's e-commerce platform list for the first time in July with 410 million visits, a month-on-month increase of 70%, surpassing Mercado Libre (393 million visits) and Shopee (286 million visits).
Overall, Brazil's e-commerce market visits increased by 9.6% month-on-month. Driven by Temu and Shein, the import category saw a surge of 3,140% in visits. In terms of other platforms' performance: Shopee accounted for 40% of mobile traffic, Amazon Brazil's visits grew by 18.9%, Magazine Luiza returned to the top 10, while AliExpress dropped out of the list.
