DUBUQUE, Iowa - The family-favorite summer food and music festival, Taste of Summer, returns to the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium on Wednesday, August 6. Guests are invited after hours from 4:30 to 10 p.m. to enjoy local and regional bites and live music outside in the boatyard with the Mississippi River just steps away.
Open to all ages, Taste of Summer does not require general admission. Entry is a $5 donation supporting conservation efforts at the River Museum, and proceeds from beer, seltzer and beverage sales will further benefit conservation programs. Food vendors will compete for the People's Choice and the Judge's Choice awards.
This year's food truck lineup includes Bobalicious, Moski's BBQ Cascade, Sour Joe Kolaches, Two Scoops Hand Scooped Ice Cream, Caroline's Restaurant and Hibachi Time.
The music lineup features Tapestry from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., an Addison Aronson acoustic set from 6 to 6:30 p.m., Marzipan Mailbox from 7 to 8 p.m. and State of Static from 8:30 to 10 p.m.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, though a limited number of picnic tables will be available. Ample free parking can be found in the public lots near the River Museum.
Taste of Summer is made possible with support from Eide Bailly, Medical Associates, TH Media and Townsquare Media.
