Jackson Man Pleads Guilty to Armed Bank Robbery

Jackson, MS - A Jackson man pleaded guilty on September 28, 2026, in federal court to Armed Bank Robbery of a local Chase Bank located.

According to court documents, and statements made in court, on May 9, 2026, Christopher Quency Carter entered the bank and robbed it at gunpoint.

Christopher Quency Carter is scheduled to be sentenced on January 26, 2027, and faces a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison. A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

U.S. Attorney J.E. Baxter Kruger of the Southern District of Mississippi and Special Agent in Charge Robert Eikhoff of the Federal Bureau of Investigation made the announcement.

The case was investigated by the FBI.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Amber Jones is prosecuting the case.
