Certification brings leading legal AI to federal agencies and partners, giving government legal teams more capacity to serve the public
SAN FRANCISCO and WASHINGTON, October 28, 2026 -- Harvey, the operating system for legal and professional services, today announced it has achieved Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) Class D Certification in partnership with Knox Systems (Knox), the largest, longest-running federal managed cloud. Trusted to serve 80% of the AmLaw 100 law firms and five of the Fortune 10, this FedRAMP Certification extends Harvey's reach to U.S. federal agencies, federal contractors and partners, international governments, and commercial organizations with the highest security requirements.
Federal legal teams carry an enormous share of the government's workload. Agency counsel review solicitations and contractor agreements, process Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and public records requests, run investigations and litigation, and advise leadership on regulatory and policy questions, and much of the work is done manually. Harvey's platform alleviates the groundwork burden and enables federal attorneys to spend more time on the analysis, advice, and decisions that require their judgment.
With this FedRAMP Class D Certification, federal legal teams and their contracting agencies can now use Harvey for:
"Trust has to be earned and verified, which is why Harvey treats security as something we prove, not something we claim," said Brooks Evans, Chief Information Security Officer of Harvey. "FedRAMP Class D Certification isn't a one-time assessment. It's one of the most demanding security standards there is, and we meet it every day through continuous monitoring and accountability. That's what allows agencies and their partners to bring their most consequential legal work to Harvey with confidence."
Knox facilitated Harvey's FedRAMP Class D Certification, complementing the company's existing compliance posture, which includes:
"Behind every procurement decision, FOIA response, and enforcement action is a government attorney working through a mountain of documents," said Irina Denisenko, CEO of Knox Systems. "With the support of Knox, agencies can now put Harvey to work for their legal teams inside a FedRAMP Class D boundary, so counsel can spend less time on first-pass review and more time on the analysis, advice, and decisions that serve the public."
