SANDBAG DISTRIBUTION

In preparation for upcoming rain, residents are encouraged to prepare their homes and property by picking up free sandbags. Chula Vista residents may obtain up to 10 free sandbags per household, while supplies last.

Distribution will take place at the City's Public Works Facility located at 1800 Maxwell Road on Thursday, November 13 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday, November 14 from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Proof of Chula Vista residency is required, and sandbags will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note that sandbags are not available at any Chula Vista Fire Station. As a safety reminder, if your windshield wipers are on, your headlights must be on. Do not attempt to drive through flooded areas. To report downed trees or other storm-related issues, use the ACT system to submit a service request or call Public Works at (619) 397-6000. For emergencies, please contact 9-1-1.
