Montana State University College of Education, Health and Human Development to host showcase Feb. 26

BOZEMAN - Montana State University's College of Education, Health and Human Development will host a celebration of outstanding teaching, research and engagement on Thursday, Feb. 26. The event is free and open to the public.

The EHHD Showcase features presentations from award-winning faculty and staff from 5:45 to 7 p.m. in Inspiration Hall inside Norm Asbjornson Hall on the MSU campus. After the presentations conclude, attendees are invited to ask questions of the presenters until 7:30 p.m. The event also includes an opening reception with a program fair, refreshments and appetizers from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m.

"The EHHD Showcase is the annual celebration of faculty and staff who create deeply meaningful learning experiences for MSU students and communities across Montana," said Tricia Seifert, dean of the College of Education, Health and Human Development. "Every year, I leave the event feeling invigorated and inspired."

Faculty and staff presentations at the EHHD Showcase include the following:

  • "Cultivating Well-being: Using Horticultural Therapy to Promote Multidimensional Wellness" by Allison Brennan, associate professor in the Department of Human Development and Community Health and mental health specialist with MSU Extension.
  • "Beyond the Scale: Cultivating a Whole Person Approach to Nutrition Care" by Jessi Peterson, associate teaching professor in the Department of Food Systems, Nutrition and Kinesiology.
  • "Elation and Identity: Come with me on a Joy Ride" by Carrie Myers, professor in the Department of Education.
