The City is exploring the development of a Downtown Shop Local program to support and strengthen the local business community. Shop Local initiatives have proven successful in increasing customer engagement, driving sales, and encouraging residents and visitors to spend locally. These programs are particularly beneficial for independently owned restaurants, retailers and small businesses that contribute to the unique character of Menlo Park.
A new, easy-to-use mobile app-based platform is being considered that would allow shoppers to earn rebates on downtown purchases - all through their smartphone.
We're excited about this opportunity for residents and visitors to visit more of their favorite downtown shops and restaurants while supporting the Menlo Park business community.
