Temporary Playground Closure at Allan Witt Park for Final Construction Work

The City of Fairfield's Public Works Department will temporarily close the playground area at Allan Witt Park from Monday, October 13 through Monday, October 20 to complete final construction tasks and address remaining punch list items.

This closure is necessary to ensure the work is completed safely and effectively. The schedule is based on contractor and vendor availability, site conditions, and temperature requirements critical to the repair process.

Closure Schedule & Planned Work:

• October 13-14: Power washing and cleaning of the resilient surfacing

• October 15-16: Drying period to prepare the site for repairs

• October 17: Spectra crews perform repair work

• October 18-19: Curing period for repair materials

• October 20: Playground reopens to the public
