LA PLATA, Md. (Aug. 17, 2026) - The University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center, a member organization of the University of Maryland Medical System, welcomes Jocelin Maxwell, CRNP, to the UM Charles Regional Medical Group - Women's Health team in White Plains.
"As we continue to expand access to health care in the Southern Maryland community, we are excited to welcome Jocelin as a nurse practitioner," said Evalyne Bryant-Ward, Vice President of Ambulatory Services at UM Charles Regional. "Her decades of nursing experience will benefit women in our community at all stages of life."
Maxwell brings 20 years of nursing experience in the Washington, D.C., region to Charles County and Southern Maryland.
"My nursing career began in an outpatient women's health practice, where I discovered how meaningful it is to build long-term relationships with women and support them through every stage of life," Maxwell said.
A Southern Maryland native, Maxwell earned her associate degree in nursing from the College of Southern Maryland in La Plata in 2006. She later earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stevenson University in 2012 and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2016. In 2025, she completed a post-graduate certificate at Duke University, becoming a women's health nurse practitioner.
Maxwell is committed to partnering with patients to deliver personalized, evidence-based care and to help women make informed decisions about their health.
"Patient education has always been a vital component of my approach," Maxwell said. "By empowering women with knowledge and fostering confidence in their healthcare decisions, I hope to help them achieve their best possible health at every stage of life."
