PHOTOS: Capito Makes Stops in Logan County to Receive Updates on Community Projects

LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. - Today, U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), traveled to Logan County, W.Va., to receive updates on and tour community projects.

First, Senator Capito traveled to Chapmanville, W.Va., where she visited the Chief Logan Recreational Center to meet with leadership and tour the facility's expansion efforts. Chief Logan Recreational Facility serves residents of Logan, Boone, and Mingo counties offering a family friendly wellness and sports hub.

"It was great to be in Chapmanville today with leadership from the Chief Logan Recreational Center to learn more about their work and view the progress they have made with their expansion," Senator Capito said. "Recreational centers like Chief Logan are foundational in our communities, providing families with a place to stay active and spend time together."

We look forward to showing her firsthand all the great things happening here, the impact The Rec is having on our community, and the exciting improvements currently underway for the future. To end the day, Senator Capito traveled to Logan, W.Va., where she visited the Logan Regional Medical Center and met with hospital leadership to receive updates on operations. The Logan Regional Medical Center has proudly served the Logan community since 1926.

"I was glad to join Logan Regional Medical Center's leadership here in Logan to receive updates on how the facility is serving West Virginians," Senator Capito said. "This medical center has proudly served Logan County for over 100 years and continues to each and every day. I'm grateful for the dedicated health care professionals who work tirelessly to provide quality care to families across southern West Virginia and look forward to seeing Logan Regional continue this important mission for years to come."
