12/12/2025 - Daytime Work Resumes

Building a Safer Street for Everyone
Daytime Work Retruning

Starting as soon as Wednesday, December 17, crews will transition back to daytime shifts for the next phase of the Fones Road Corridor project. Work hours will generally run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday . Please plan for possible delays and allow extra travel time when driving through the area.

What We've Accomplished

Over the past year, crews have made significant progress toward transforming Fones Road into a safer and more efficient corridor. Key milestones include installing underground utilities to improve service reliability and laying a new water main to support future growth in the area. These upgrades not only strengthen essential infrastructure but also lay the groundwork for continued improvements that will benefit everyone who travels through the corridor.

What's Next

Later this month, crews will begin installing storm drains along the corridor and continue preparing the roadway for future improvements. Stormwater management is a critical component of building a resilient street. These new drains will help reduce flooding, protect water quality, and ensure the roadway remains durable during heavy rains. This work is an important step toward creating a corridor that is better equipped to serve the community for years to come.

Thank You

We appreciate your continued patience and support as we work to transform the Fones Road corridor. Construction is expected to continue through Summer 2026, and we remain committed to minimizing impacts wherever possible.
