NTCA Proposes Light-Touch Framework for IP Interconnection

(January 20) In comments filed with the FCC, NTCA proposed a regulatory framework for IP interconnection for voice services that protects universal service, competition, the reliability of calls and service quality for rural consumers. NTCA proposed this framework accompany any dismantling of the existing TDM interconnection rules and proposed a stable foundation on which IP interconnection rules can rest.
