Rep. Andrea Salinas’ Statement on Her Vote for Bipartisan Bill to Lower Housing Costs and Expand Homeownership Opportunities

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today,Congresswoman Andrea Salinas (OR-06) released the following statement on her vote in support of the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act.

"Across Oregon, too many families are being priced out of the communities they call home. Rent is too high, homeownership feels out of reach, and we simply do not have enough homes on the market. That is why I proudly voted for the bipartisan 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act. This bill will help communities build more homes, preserve affordable housing, and stop big Wall Street investors from buying up single-family homes. It will not solve the housing crisis overnight, but it is a real step toward lowering costs and giving Oregonians a fair shot at homeownership."
