Campus diners are invited to experience the first-ever Seafood Feast event tomorrow, bringing together great food and meaningful conversation about local seafood, sustainability, and regional fishing communities. In addition to featured seafood dishes served across campus, guests will have the opportunity to learn more about local fishing practices and career pathways through engagement with Northline Seafoods, the Working Waterfront Coalition, and the Lummi Tribe, who will be on site sharing their stories and expertise.
Seafood Feast reflects Dining at WWU's commitment to connecting food on the plate with the people, places, and practices behind it-highlighting responsible sourcing, local partnerships, and education beyond the dining hall.
Alongside Tuesday's event, students, faculty, and staff can also enjoy a new sweet option on campus. King's Hawaiian in the Viking Union now offers milkshakes, adding a fun, seasonal treat to its menu of smash burgers and comfort food favorites. Milkshakes are available during regular King's Hawaiian hours and are perfect for an afternoon pick me up or post class indulgence.
