Artwork from 21 Local Artists Selected to Wrap Traffic Control Boxes Along Route 66

8/5/2026

Designs from 21 local artists have been selected to wrap 34 traffic control boxes located on Tulsa's 28-mile Route 66 corridor as part of the City's Route 66 beautification projects along the Mother Road.

The art-wrapped traffic control boxes will enhance wayfinding, create colorful points of interest along the historic Mother Road, and celebrate local artists, over half of whom are Tulsans and 71% are from Route 66 communities.

Selected artists, whose designs will be installed on traffic control boxes, are:

  • Rick Bartholomew
  • Daryl Bostick (Funksthetics Merchandise & Design)
  • Aundria Braggs (Art by Aunj)
  • Audie Case, Renee Corvin (Timeless Painting by Renee)
  • Gabriel S. Peguero Damian (Theosis Santos)
  • Katrina Gemmil
  • Maci Gibson
  • Lillian Haley
  • Judit Hense
  • Rebecca Henson
  • Sonia Holchaf (Soniarita)
  • Raymond Irwin (Ray Wolf Music & Art)
  • Sarah Kraft (Kraft's by Sarah)
  • Keely Lane
  • Makenzie Massey
  • Destiny Minney
  • Lori Joan Morgan
  • Kelly Morris (KP Colors)
  • Liliana Rios-Garcia
  • Felicia Roberts

Fabrication of the vinyl wraps is beginning this month, with installation likely to be completed in September. An unveiling event will be held once installation is complete to celebrate all the artists. Postcards of the artwork will be available at Route 66 visitor's centers after the unveiling.

These installations mark another step in the City's commitment to celebrating the Route 66 corridor through public art, all of which were approved by the Tulsa Arts Commission and the Route 66 Commission.
