WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, at the start of Hispanic Heritage Month, Congressman Rob Menendez (NJ-08) introduced a resolution to designate the week of September 15th, 2025, as 'National Latino Gastronomic Cuisine Week'.
"I'm proud to represent one of the most diverse regions of our state and an area rich with Hispanic culinary traditions," said Congressman Rob Menendez. "This resolution celebrates these traditions and recognizes the role they play in creating vibrant, inclusive, and diverse communities."
The resolution recognizes the global culinary influences of Latino cuisine and the role it has played in shaping America's food culture, and encourages federal support for future culinary programs, educational initiatives, and local businesses that promote Latino gastronomic traditions. Menendez previously introduced the resolution in 2024.
