Kosovo, Czech and Mongolian chambers join ICC Certificate of Origin Accreditation Chain

The ICC World Chambers Federation has officially welcomed three new members to its globally recognised International Certificate of Origin (CO) Accreditation Chain: the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, the Czech Chamber of Commerce and the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The milestone further strengthens the global CO network dedicated to advancing the highest standards in trade documentation and reinforcing trust in international trade.

With accreditation, Certificates of Origin from the three chambers will be globally recognised as trusted trade documents, fully compliant with international best practices. By joining the ICC CO Accreditation Chain, the new members gain access to the internationally recognised ICC CO label and the ability to connect their certificates directly to the ICC verification platform - enhancing transparency, traceability and credibility.

Advancing trust and efficiency in global trade

Certificates of Origin play a critical role in international commerce, enabling customs authorities, banks and businesses to authenticate the origin of exported goods and ensure compliance with trade rules.

By adhering to ICC's International CO Guidelines, accredited chambers commit to rigorous and harmonised issuance procedures, helping to reduce fraud risks and facilitate smoother customs clearance.

For their respective business communities, accreditation represents a significant step forward - enabling exporters to better leverage trade opportunities, accelerate clearance processes and strengthen their competitiveness in global markets.

ICC CO Council accreditation confirmation

The accreditation of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, the Czech Chamber of Commerce and the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry was formally confirmed during the ICC World Chambers Federation International CO Council meeting held on 2-3 June 2026. The meeting brought together global experts and chamber representatives to review applications and advance best practices in origin certification.

The meeting also highlighted several developments shaping the future of origin certification including the ongoing development of an ICC harmonised set of non-preferential rules of origin, alongside efforts to expand access to digital services for chambers thanks to the ICC verification platform.

Participants also benefited from three engaging "show-and-tell" sessions, where chambers shared practical business models and operational experience. Contributions from Business West, the Confederação Nacional da Indústria (CNI) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia provided valuable insights into how chambers are innovating in the delivery of origin-related services and supporting their business communities.

Strengthening a growing global network

Established by the ICC World Chambers Federation in 2012, the CO Accreditation Chain has become the global benchmark for reliable and standardised issuance of Certificates of Origin.

Today, the network connects more than 800 chambers across 43 countries, collectively issuing millions of certificates each year under the trusted ICC World Chambers Federation label.

The addition of the Kosovo, Czech and Mongolian chambers further expands this global network of trusted issuing authorities, reinforcing its role as a cornerstone of trade facilitation worldwide.
