‘We the People’ of Milwaukee: Rethinking Citizenship in Our City, April 29

The MKE Roots Project, the Center for Urban Research Teaching and Outreach, and the Civic Dialogue Series will co-host the first session of its A250 Discussion Series on Tuesday, April 29, at 4:30 p.m. in AMU 157. A panel will explore U.S. founding principles through a local lens and examine how everyday citizens can bring democracy to life in Milwaukee and beyond.

The event will bring together representatives from local civic organizations to discuss historical and contemporary definitions of citizenship and the role community members play in sustaining democracy.

The conversation will also examine how a sense of belonging among Milwaukee residents can contribute to a stronger and more connected community.
