The Sharia-Free America Caucus, launched by Congressman Keith Self (TX-03) and Congressman Chip Roy (TX-21) in December 2025, has continued to grow with no signs of slowing down. The Caucus has sparked conversations throughout Congress and across the country, drawing attention to concerns surrounding Sharia and its incompatibility with the principles enshrined in the United States Constitution.
In just six months, the Caucus has grown to 68 members from 25 states. Now spanning half the nation, the movement has become a leading voice in raising awareness about the dangers of Sharia, educating Americans and Members of Congress alike about its incompatibility with American legal principles, constitutional governance, and individual liberty.
The Sharia-Free America Caucus remains devoted to upholding the Constitution as the supreme law of the land while fiercely defending the freedoms and liberties upon which the United States was founded.
"Christian values form the foundation of our nation and the constitutional system that governs our daily lives," said Congressman Keith Self. "Sharia and its principles stand in direct opposition to those foundations and are wholly incompatible with the rule of law in the United States. I am grateful to my House colleagues and our Senate allies for joining the fight against the growing threat of Sharia."
"Sharia is a direct threat to our Constitution and Western values and seeks to replace our legal system and erode our basic freedoms. Our immigration system must be prepared to confront this challenge and defend our Judeo-Christian values," said Congressman Chip Roy. "I am proud to co-chair this caucus with Rep. Keith Self and encouraged to see more of my House colleagues joining this effort, because the preservation of America and Western civilization depends on it."
Members of the Sharia-Free America Caucus include: Whip Tom Emmer (MN-06), Keith Self (TX-03) and Chip Roy (TX-21), Brandon Gill (TX-26), Michael Cloud (TX-27), Monica De La Cruz (TX-15), Wesley Hunt (TX-38), Brian Babin (TX-36), Pete Sessions (TX-17), Pat Fallon (TX-04), Craig Goldman (TX-12), August Pfluger (TX-11), Ronny Jackson (TX-13), Lance Gooden (TX-05), Randy Weber (TX-14), Nathaniel Moran (TX-01), John Carter (TX-31), Mary Miller (IL-15), Andy Biggs (AZ-05), Eli Crane (AZ-02), Byron Donalds (FL-19), Scott Perry (PA-10), Randy Fine (FL-06), Andy Ogles (TN-05), Eric Burlison (MO-07), Josh Brecheen (OK-02), Sheri Biggs (SC-03), Ralph Norman (SC-05), Barry Moore (AL-01), Tracey Mann (KS-01), Russ Fulcher (ID-01), Mike Kelly (PA-16), Mike Kennedy (UT-03), Andrew Clyde (GA-09), Mark Harris (NC-08), Nick Begich (AK-At Large), Cory Mills (FL-07), Mike Haridopolos (FL-08), Ben Cline (VA-06), Paul Gosar (AZ-09), John McGuire (VA-05), Addison McDowell (NC-06), Morgan Griffith (VA-09), Aaron Bean (FL-04), Riley Moore (WV-02), John Rutherford (FL-05), Michael Rulli (OH-06), Buddy Carter (GA-01), Mike Ezell (MS-04), Andy Harris (MD-01), Pat Harrigan (NC-10), Anna Paulina Luna (FL-13), John Rose (TN-06), Mark Alford (MO-04), Russell Fry (SC-07), Jimmy Patronis (FL-01), Rich McCormick (GA-07), Ryan Zinke (MT-01), Andy Barr (KY-06), Tony Wied (WI-08), William Timmons (SC-04), Stephanie Bice (OK-05), Derrick Van Orden (WI-03), Clay Fuller (GA-14), Tim Moore (NC-14), Brian Mast (FL-21), Diana Harshbarger (TN-01), and Max Miller (OH-07).
"Sharia is completely incompatible with the American way of life and threatens the very fabric of our society. It is radical, oppressive, and must never be allowed to gain a foothold in America. I'm thankful to Congressmen Roy and Self for leading this noble charge in the House and looking forward to working together to combat this danger," said Whip Tom Emmer.
"Sharia Law is utterly barbaric and has no place in America whatsoever. My constituents in Texas are constantly expressing their concern and asking what can be done about the rise of mass Islamic immigration in north Texas, including developments like the East Plano Islamic Community. If people come to America in search of a better life, they need to be prepared to assimilate to our culture, not impose third world ideals into our society. I am proud to join the Sharia Free America Caucus led by my Texas colleagues Reps. Keith Self and Chip Roy," said Congressman Brandon Gill.
"Our nation's strength lies in upholding the Constitution as the supreme law of the land. The rise of Sharia law is an assault on our Constitution, our freedoms, and the Christian foundations of our nation. We cannot allow this oppressive ideology to take root in America. We cannot become like Europe and stand idly by while the bastions of liberty are eroded away, community by community. We will continue to work to protect our borders, ensure that newcomers respect and integrate into American values, and safeguard the liberties that make our country the greatest on earth," said Congressman Michael Cloud.
"Sharia law is incompatible with the Constitution and has no place in the United States of America. As a combat veteran who served in the Middle East, I have seen firsthand the realities of Sharia law. Those experiences made one thing clear: America's strength lies in individual liberty and equal justice. We swore an oath to defend the Constitution. Our duty is to uphold American laws, protect American values, and ensure the Constitution remains the supreme law of the land," said Congressman Wesley Hunt.
"'One Nation, Under God.' These are words God-fearing Americans live by here on the Texas Gulf Coast. We cannot stand by and watch while foreign ideologies threaten American democracy, as we are seeing on Ali Akbar Court in Irving, Texas, and in 'Muslim-only' communities across the country. I have watched this threat creep into our communities for more than 13 years, dating back to my time in the Texas State House, and that is more than enough proof that Sharia law must be stopped from running rampant so Americans can remain safe, free, and governed by the laws and values that made this nation great," said Congressman Randy Weber.
"Sharia law has no place in the United States. Radical Islamist ideology is fundamentally incompatible with our Constitution, our freedoms, and our American way of life. We must unapologetically defend the values that made this nation great and ensure radical Islam never gains a foothold in America," said Congressman Ronny Jackson.
"Our laws, freedoms, and way of life are not negotiable. I joined the Sharia Free America Caucus to take a zero-tolerance approach toward radical Islamist extremism and reject any ideology that seeks to place foreign legal systems above the Constitution," said Congressman Lance Gooden.
"Sharia law is fundamentally incompatible with the freedoms protected by our Constitution. It rejects core American principles such as free speech, religious liberty, and equal rights under the law. Across Europe, we have seen the consequences of failing to defend those principles with clarity and confidence. America should not wait until those challenges are at our doorstep," said Congressman Andy Harris.
"I'm proud to join the Sharia Free America Caucus and stand firmly against this radical ideology that seeks to uproot the constitutional principles and Christian values on which our nation was founded. I applaud Representatives Roy and Self for taking leadership and confronting this serious issue facing our country," said Congresswoman Mary Miller.
"Sharia law is a primary principle amongst various Islamic terrorist groups, which seek to replace the global world order with their own. This is why I'm opposed to Sharia law in the United States. We cannot allow an ideology which destroys religious freedom, restricts women's rights and seeks to destroy the West. I was proud to join this caucus and thank Rep. Self for leading it," said Congresswoman Stephanie Bice.
"Sharia Law has no place in America and cannot subsume our Constitution and local laws. Its radical ideology is antithetical to our Judeo-Christian values and to the freedoms our great Republic was founded on. I am grateful to Reps. Self and Roy for founding the Sharia Free America Caucus, and I look forward to the work we will do to stop radical Islam in its tracks," said Congressman Andy Biggs.
"I'm proud to join these patriots as a member of the Sharia Free America Caucus. As someone who fought in the Middle East, I know firsthand that this authoritarian ideology cannot coexist with Western values. It's imperative that we learn from Europe's failed policies and never surrender to this growing threat. As a Caucus, we are committed to defending our nation, as well as preserving the liberties and freedoms we cherish," said Congressman Eli Crane.
"Sharia has no place in America. We will not surrender our freedoms. I'm proud to stand alongside these America First patriots as a member of the Sharia Free America Caucus," said Congressman Byron Donalds.
"I'm proud to stand with so many colleagues sharing the mission and convictions that sparked the founding of the House 'Sharia Free America' Caucus. From Dearborn to 'EPIC City,' Sharia law is sweeping across America - and must be stopped. Our Constitution protects the God-given right to freedom of religion and expression; but too many policymakers and community leaders are willing to sell out our liberties and safety by bowing to the intolerant and oppressive ideology of militant and radical Islam. We welcome oppressed people from around the globe to enhance and participate in the self governance model that is America; we did not, however, invite them to leave their theological oppression abroad to come and conquer America under the flag of violent submission and oppression that is Sharia law," said Congressman Scott Perry.
"Islam is a religion of violence, abuse of women, and ruthless political conquest. Its laws and practices have no place in American society. That's why I joined the Sharia Free American Caucus. Islam is conquering Europe, and I refuse to let it conquer America," said Congressman Andy Ogles.
"America First means one country, one Constitution, and one legal system. I'm proud to stand with Reps. Keith Self and Chip Roy to make clear that no foreign or religious legal code has any place above American law," said Congressman Eric Burlison.
"As Sharia law sympathizers grow increasingly emboldened within America, I urge local, state, and federal lawmakers to resist efforts to establish Sharia law in American jurisdictions. Those who do not assimilate to the American way of life should not be allowed into our country. I am grateful to Representatives Keith Self and Chip Roy for founding the Sharia Free America Caucus and look forward to working with the Caucus to promote the Western legal tradition and defend the American way of life," said Congressman Josh Brecheen.
"America is strongest when we stand united behind the Constitution and the rule of law. I'm proud to join the Sharia Free America Caucus to protect our nation's core values, uphold freedom, and ensure that no foreign legal system undermines the liberties guaranteed to every American," said Congressman Ralph Norman.
"The Constitution is the supreme law of the land, and it must never be undermined by outside ideologies that are incompatible with American liberty. I'm honored to join the Sharia Free America Caucus and stand alongside my colleagues to defend our sovereignty and ensure that our nation's legal system remains firmly rooted in the freedoms and principles that define the United States. Protecting constitutional governance is essential to preserving the security and liberty of the American people," said Congressman Barry Moore.
"Parts of our country are learning just how devastating Sharia Law can be to our citizens and our way of life. I am proud to join the Sharia-Free America Caucus as an original Member. The U.S. Constitution is-and must remain-our sole legal framework. Sharia Law is incompatible with the foundational principles of our nation and has no place in Idaho or anywhere in America," said Congressman Russ Fulcher.
"America is built on constitutional liberty, equal protection under the law, and individual freedom. Sharia law undermines those principles and is fundamentally misaligned with the values we hold dear as Americans. I'm proud to work alongside my congressional colleagues in the Sharia Free Caucus," said Congressman Mike Kennedy.
"Sharia Law has no place in America, as it is simply incompatible with the U.S. Constitution and Western civilization. Congress must take this threat seriously by banning Sharia Law, defending our Western values, and protecting our American way of life. I'm proud to join Reps. Self and Roy's Sharia Free America Caucus, and I thank these patriots for leading on this critical issue," said Congressman Andrew Clyde.
"America's strength comes from a commitment to equal justice under the law and a government accountable to its citizens. Any attempt to elevate a foreign legal system above our Constitution undermines those principles. I joined the Sharia-Free America Caucus to help ensure American law remains the foundation of our Republic," said Congressman William Timmons.
"Our Constitution is the supreme law of this land, and no effort to subordinate it to Sharia law will ever succeed on our watch. A system that punishes dissent, strips women of their rights, and places religious authority above individual liberty has no place in American courts or American communities, and my colleagues and I are committed to making sure it never does here," said Congressman Pat Harrigan.
"I am proud to stand with my fellow patriots in congress to defend the American way of life. Sharia law has zero place in the United States. We must repel this radical ideology from the free world and protect the Western values that define this great nation," said Congressman Clay Fuller.
"America's Constitution is the foundation of our freedom, and it is not up for negotiation. I'm proud to be a member of the Sharia Free America Caucus to stand firmly against any ideology that seeks to undermine our laws, our liberties, and our way of life. We will defend the rule of law, protect American values, and ensure our nation remains grounded in the principles that make it exceptional," said Congressman Mark Alford.
"Our nation's culture, laws, and institutions are rooted in the enduring traditions of Western civilization: Christian faith, Roman law, and Greek philosophy. Sharia law is the antithesis of our national heritage. It has no place in America, and I am proud to stand against it with the Sharia Free America Caucus," said Congressman Riley Moore.
"America's system of self-government depends on the belief that our rights come from God, not the government, and that those rights must be protected equally for every American," said Congressman Mark Harris. "No foreign legal code should ever be allowed to undermine individual liberty, create separate systems of justice, or replace the freedoms our Founders fought to secure. I was proud to join the Sharia-Free America Caucus to defend the rule of law and make clear that in America, no law stands above our Constitution."
