"Local law enforcement officers put their lives on the line every day to keep Johnston safe, and they deserve the absolute best equipment so they can do their jobs," said Magaziner. "I am proud to have secured federal funding for these motorcycles and radios, which will help the Johnston Police Department protect and serve Rhode Islanders efficiently and effectively."
"Representative Magaziner's support has directly strengthened the Johnston Police Department by providing the tools and technology our officers need to do their jobs safely and effectively. Fromupgraded portable radios to new motorcycles, improved backup communication systems, and enhanced training, this funding makes a real difference on the ground. We're grateful for his commitment to our Johnston police officers and to the safety of our entire community," said Johnston Mayor Joseph M. Polisena Jr.
"This grant has allowed us to purchase state-of-the-art portable radios for our officers and two new police motorcycles. This equipment has strengthened officer safety and enhanced our ability to respond quickly and effectively. These upgrades have elevated our communication, increased our mobility, and improved our overall readiness.
