We are proud to announce that Portman Hospitality Fund I, LP has acquired the iconic Westin Peachtree Plaza, one of the most recognizable landmarks in downtown Atlanta. As the first acquisition for Portman Hospitality Fund I, the 1,073-key hotel reflects our strategy of investing in large-scale, branded hospitality assets where thoughtful renovation and repositioning can unlock long-term value. Through our vertically integrated platform, we look forward to reimagining the hotel's guest rooms, public spaces and meeting facilities ahead of Super Bowl LXII in 2028. "Hospitality is in Portman's DNA," said Kaunteya Chitnis, Managing Director of Hospitality at Portman. "Our fund's strategy is designed to capitalize on structural shifts in the market, particularly as irreplaceable assets in major U.S. cities enter a renovation cycle. The Westin Peachtree Plaza is exactly the type of asset the fund was created to pursue, with a world-class brand, irreplaceable location and a clear repositioning path supported by our in-house expertise." Originally designed and developed by our founder, John C. Portman, Jr., the Westin Peachtree Plaza has shaped Atlanta's skyline since 1976. Nearly 50 years later, bringing this landmark back into the Portman portfolio reinforces our long-term commitment to hospitality investment and the future of downtown Atlanta.
