First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus S.Lukashevich meets Ambassador of Sri Lanka

On April 9, 2026 the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Sergey Lukashevich, met with the Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Shobini Kaushala Gunasekera.

The interlocutors reviewed plans for joint actions and events for the current year. They noted the high intensity of bilateral cooperation in the fields of education, medicine, and tourism.

The Sri Lankan Ambassador highly appreciated the opportunities provided by Belarus for citizens of her country to receive high-quality education in the field of healthcare. Every fifth qualified medical worker in Sri Lanka was educated in Belarus.
