One-Way Traffic Controls Next Week

Mariposa County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place for the following construction and maintenance activities on State Route 49 (SR-49), SR-132, & SR-140 in Mariposa County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 49

  • One-way traffic control from Penon Blanco Road to Shilling Road for traffic signal work beginning Monday, April 20, through Friday, April 24, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control at Stumpfield Mountain Road for utility work on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from the Merced River Bridge to Shilling Road for traffic signal work on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from County Road to Penon Blanco Road for utility work beginning Thursday, April 23, through Friday, April 24, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Vista Point to Crown Lead Road for utility work on Saturday April 25, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

State Route 132

  • One-way traffic control just west of State Route 49 / Coulterville for drainage work beginning Monday, April 20, through Friday, April 24, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

State Route 140

  • One-way traffic control from Savage Trading Post to Yosemite Cedar Lodge for slope work beginning Wednesday, April 8, through Sunday, April 19, 2026.
  • One-way traffic control at Fourth Street for sign/banner work on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Bear Creek Bridge to Crane Creek for shoulder work beginning Monday, April 20, through Friday, April 24, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
